Mountain Roaming..

Celebrating the Harley slogan, "The Eagle Flies Alone" I took this ride on Sunday, all unscheduled. The day before I had removed the fairings to dry clan the bike and get sprayed with diesel but as it turned out I was riding instead...so the cleaning is yet to be done.
There was no particular destination, the idea was just to ride so I headed out to the Soun valley mountain range, I also wanted to see how the bike ran on the high terrain.

Below are some pics, hope you like them..

Now I was all aloe on the ride, armed with only my camera so I wanted to do speed corners and go fast on the hills. NOt a good idea, actually, because the rear tyre on my bike is flatter, kind of drag race style so speed cornering can be fatal, however, going fast on the straights is an easy task.

Some more pics taken on the mountains. The weather was all dusty, so the view of far-off landscape is not clear..

It was a total of about 80km trip (both ways) I did on this ride, longest I have done on this bike in one stretch. After some 20 minutes of ride when heat had properly got into all the compartments of the engine, it got as light as you could imagine..Even the engine sound becomes quieter..

A nice view of the road..

US Presidential Election '08

A colloquial proverb goes “Junj praee tey ahmaq nachen”, the same is true of our electronic media’s response to the US Presidential election 2008, refer to the numerous talk shows on every other channel. A prudent mind may question if it would make much difference to us whether Obama wins the election or it is McCain who stands victorious. Let’s just accept the reality- no matter who the hell wins the election, the US is going to have the same strategy for the crisis-struck country called Pakistan. To me, the election is no more than a mere change of the face. Whether the white colour is replaced by the black or the white colour is all that I am concerned about. I can imagine a roaring sound from the White House resounding in our President’s ears saying “Do more” or something similar and perhaps in even a harsh(er) tone, now that they consider it their right to bomb our people (read evil) to ensure global peace. However, whether our Hon’ able President wants to be dictated by the black lips or the pink ones is another thing.

Tissue Papers

A word about tissue papers. What a product! Now, tissue papers are available in different colours, size and quality. There are scented and unscented, available in sachets, roll packs and the regular one. Depending upon the quality there are soft and rough ones. But whatever be the size, colour or quality of the tissue papers their destiny and purpose is the same; cleaning, and then end up in the waste bin. There is one thing common between tissue papers and mankind, man too sometimes is used and doomed to taste the dirt regardless of his race, gender, or ethnicity. One might wonder if this is a proper disposal of the wasted ones…
